Overview

Users will sometimes need to be switched from a Lite User to a Full User, or vice versa.

Cosmos makes it easy to change the License Type for a user which is covered in the steps below.

Details

To change the License Type for a user, the person making the change must have the Administrator role assigned to them. 

To change the License Type, you will first navigate to the Administration section on the left-hand side of the Cosmos Portal.

Next, you will click the "Switch License Type" icon on the right-hand side of the row for the user that you would like to change the License Type for.

You will see a window confirming that you would like to change the License Type for the selected user. You can click OK to change the license type or you can click the X in the upper-right corner of the window to close the window without making any changes.

It is important to note that if the user is changed from a Full User to a Lite User, all their existing user roles will be removed except for the Report Viewer role.
