Highlights of this release include:
- New Check Out Workflow
- Users Can View a Read-Only Copy of a Report
- Scheduled Reports will Auto-Suggest Email Addresses for Cosmos Users
- Improved Visibility into Last Pipeline Run and Currently Pipeline Status
- Drilldown will Automatically Have an Excel Table and Excel Filters
New Check Out Workflow
We've added features for an improved workflow for checking in and checking out reports. Now, when you click on a report to get to the Report Details screen you will see a Check Out button.
When you click the button, it will open the report template in a new tab and check the report out to you. For users that work on several reports at the same time, there is now a Workspace area in your Home page where you will be able to see all the reports that you currently have checked out and edit, discard, or check them in from there.
These improvements should greatly improve the workflow for users that frequently work on editing reports.
Users Can View a Read-Only Copy of a Report
Users may have several reports that are similar and may want to see a quick view of a report to see if it's the one that they want to edit before actually checking it out. In the Report Details page there is now a View (Read Only) button that can be clicked that will open window showing them the layout of the report without having to check it out first.
Scheduled Reports will Auto-Suggest Email Addresses for Cosmos Users
When creating or editing a scheduled report run, when selecting the recipients for the email Cosmos will automatically show email addresses for existing Cosmos users to make the process easier to set up.
Improved Visibility into Last Pipeline Run and Currently Pipeline Status
In the Data Model window, users can now see the current status of the pipeline run. When clicking Run Pipeline you will see that it is currently running and when it completes it will show when the pipeline run completed. Clicking on the Open icon will also take you directly to the most recently pipeline run in the Job Explorer to see more details about the pipeline run.
Drilldown will Automatically Have an Excel Table and Excel Filters
To make it easier to analyze drilldown data, when a user drills down in a Cosmos report the data will now be formatted into an Excel table with Excel filters enabled to be able to quick sort and filter the data that is returned in the drilldown results.
