Overview
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring you some exciting new features! These updates are based on your feedback and votes in our Ideas Portal. We’re thrilled to share them with you. So, without further ado, here are the highlights of this release:
- Hide Rows, Columns, and Sheets in Reports
- Easy Access to Support, Ideas, and Training
- Download and Open Reports in Excel Desktop
- Always-On Preview Diagnostics
- Unique Report Names in the Cosmos Portal
- Toggle to “Show All Reports”
Hide Rows, Columns, and Sheets in Reports
Ever wanted to hide certain data in your reports? Now you can! With our new Cosmos function, you can easily hide rows, columns, or sheets in your report. This means your users will only see what you want them to see. For more details, check out our KB article on How to Conditionally Hide Rows, Columns, or Sheets.
Easy Access to Support, Ideas, and Training
We’ve made it easier for you to access our Ideas Portal, Training site, and Support team. You can now find direct links to these resources in your Cosmos Portal. We’re always looking for ways to make our content more accessible to you!
Download and Open Reports in Excel Desktop
We noticed that many of you were downloading reports to open them locally in Excel. To save you time, we’ve added an “Open in Excel Desktop” option. Now, once your report is done running, you can open it directly on your local machine.
Always-On Preview Diagnostics
We heard your feedback and made Preview Diagnostics always visible when authoring reports. This tool is great for troubleshooting any issues while creating a report, and now it’s on by default.
Unique Report Names in the Cosmos Portal
To avoid confusion and prepare for future updates (hint: Folders!), we’ve made report names in the Portal unique. If you try to create a report with a name that already exists, you’ll see a “Name must be unique” error.
Toggle to “Show All Reports”
With the new “Show All Reports” toggle, you can see all reports in the Portal. This is especially useful for Admins who need to manage all reports, whether they’ve been shared with them or not.
We hope you enjoy these updates as much as we enjoyed creating them for you. As always, we’re here to support you and look forward to your feedback. Happy reporting! 🚀
