Overview
We're happy to announce several improvements to the Cosmos platform, including one of our most requested features: the ability to search on Report Options when running a report. We have several exciting things that we're working on for the end of the year as well, so be sure to stay tuned!
Highlights of this release include:
- Added Search Functionality when Entering Report Options
- Displayed Licensed User Counts on Admin Page
- Users Receive Additional Feedback when Checking In Reports
- Users Can See Which Reports Have Schedules Associated with Them
- Translated Cosmos into Various Languages
- Table Filters Can Be Used from Related Tables
- Record ID's Cannot Be Set as Primary Key
- Report Option for "Use Defaults" is Enabled by Default
Added Search Functionality when Entering Report Options
You asked and we listened! We have added the ability to see a list of values from your data when entering report options when running a report. For example, you can now start typing a customer's name and a list will appear will all the customer names matching what you've typed so far.
Displayed Licensed User Counts on Admin Page
Administrators can now see how many Full Users and Lite Users they are licensed for and how many are currently used from directly within the Cosmos Portal.
Users Receive Additional Feedback when Checking in Reports
When checking in a report, users will see improvement feedback to show them that the report is currently being processed and, if there is an error during the check-in process, the users are shown a visual indicator letting them know.
Users Can See Which Reports Have Schedules Associated with Them
We received feedback that users wanted to be able to easily know which reports had schedules associated with them, so we added a Schedule button to the Action Bar showing which reports have schedules and how many report schedules have been created. Clicking the Schedule button on the action bar will then open the Report Schedule window for that report.
Translated Cosmos into Various Languages
We have added support for the following languages to the Cosmos Portal and Cosmos Excel Add-In:
- Danish
- Dutch
- German
- French
Table Filters Can Be Used from Related Tables
Table Filters in a report can now be used across multiple related tables. For example, a user can create a Table Filter on the GL Account table that can be used in range lists and aggregates from both the GL Transactions and GL Budget Transactions tables. Previously, Table Filters were required to be added to the same table that they were being used in.
Record ID's Cannot Be Set as Primary Key
The ability to set the Record ID as a primary key in the data model has been disabled since this is a Cosmos field and may cause issues with the pipeline runs.
Report Option for "Use Defaults" is Enabled by Default
Based on user feedback, when adding a Report Option to a report, the "Use Defaults" checkbox is now defaulted to "Enabled".
