Overview

This release is one of our largest releases yet! In addition to releasing an all-new Excel Add-In for report authoring, we are also releasing our two most requested features: report scheduling/distribution and drilldown.

Highlights of this release include:

Brand New Cosmos Excel Add-In

We are excited to formally release the latest version of our Excel Add-In. We have spent the past few months rewriting our report authoring tool to use the latest technologies and to incorporate a huge amount of feedback that we have received from our customers and partners. Some highlights of this include:

• Improved process for creating and editing Cosmos functions
• Input validation to prevent errors if something is left blank and shouldn't be
• Added Excel Links, which is a new feature that enables user to leverage Excel logic to build filters that can be used throughout Cosmos Reports
• Added Table Filters which make it easy to apply filters across an entire range of cells, making it easy to maintain and adjust large numbers of functions with a few clicks
• Added Preview Diagnostics to assist users with resolving errors that may occur when the report is run.
• Added the ability to Copy/Paste Cosmos functions within a report

Added Drilldown Capabilities to Reports

Users can now drilldown into numbers in a report to see the underlying transactions that make up those numbers. Users can also see the filters that apply to a Cosmos function to add visibility into where the underlying numbers are coming from.

Added Scheduling and Distribution for Reports

Users can schedule reports to run and automatically be emailed out to users. In addition to controlling the schedule that the report will be run on, the user can also set Report Options, set who the email will be sent to, and control the contents of both the Subject and the Body of the email that will go out.

Added an OpenAI Powered Chatbot to the Cosmos Excel Add-In

Users can now leverage a chatbot, powered by OpenAI, to ask natural language questions and get real-time answers on how to use Cosmos. The chatbot has been trained against the Cosmos Support Site to instantly search hundreds of articles and return relevant answers.
