Adding a Dataverse Connector in Cosmos
To add a Dataverse connector in Cosmos you must be licensed for it. If you have not purchased a Dataverse connector you can do so through your partner
To add the connector, you will navigate to your Administration Portal and go to Data Source. You can get to this screen directly from here: https://portal.cosmosdatatech.com/#/administration/datasources
You will then click "+ Data Source" at the top to add a new data source. For the Type you will select Dataverse (Preview):
You will then give the data source a Name and enter your Dataverse URL. You can typically find this in the URL when you log in to your Dataverse application, for example:
You can also click the checkbox for any Cosmos environment that you would like this connector available in.
Once this has been configured you will click the Add button at the bottom and then click the Test Connection button. When you click Test Connection the first time it will fail because the connection in Dataverse has not yet been finalized. You will then click Grant Admin Consent and accept the permissions which will add the required components to Dataverse for Cosmos to connect.
The next section will cover how to configure the connection in Dataverse so that Cosmos is allowed to pull data out of it.
