Overview
Fixed Value fields enable you to create a field and then hard-code the value for that field. This can be useful when you need a field that contains something specific further along in the data cleaning process. This article will cover how to add a Fixed Value calculated field in your data model.
Details
To add a Fixed Value field, navigate to the Fixed Value Transformations section for a table in the Data Model in the Cosmos Portal. Click on the table that you would like to add the Fixed Value Transformation to and click the + on the right-side.
This will open the Add Fixed Value Transformation window. You can then give the field a name, select the Output Type, and enter the value that you would like used in the field.
In the example above, there is a new field created called "Source Table" that has a fixed value of "Customer".
