Occasionally, tables and fields present in a data source may change. Cosmos refreshes the tables and fields each time the user navigates to the Staging area for the first time during a login. This article covers the details of how to get the latest tables and fields from your data source(s).
When tables and fields are added to your data source(s), you may want to use these within Cosmos to make them available to the business users.
To see the refreshed list of tables and fields, you will just need to log in to the Cosmos Portal, navigate to the Data Management section, and then click the Staging tab to navigate to the Staging Area.
You can see in the image above that once you go to the Staging area, you will see that "loading" indicators will show in the "Select Tables" and "Select Fields" sections as the latest tables and fields are being loaded from the data source(s). No further action is needed on the part of the user to always see the latest tables and fields that are available.
