Overview

Adding new Data Model Extensions makes it easy to extend the existing data model that comes with Cosmos. This article will cover the process of creating additional extensions within the Cosmos Data Management area.

Details

To create a new extension, log in to the Cosmos Portal and navigate to the Data Management section. Note that only users that have the Data Model Editor role assigned to them in Cosmos will have access to this section.

From the Data Management section, click the New Extension button.

In the "New Extension" window, give the extension a descriptive name and click Create. If you decide not to create a new extension you can click the "X" in the upper-right corner to close the window without creating a new extension.

The new extension will now appear within the extension list and can be checked out.
