Overview
The Job Queue provides a way to monitor report runs and data model runs that are currently running in a particular environment or, in the Administration area, across all environments.
Details
The Job Queue can be a useful tool to see which reports or ETL runs are currently happening within either a particular environment or across all of the environments in your Cosmos tenant.
Within an environment, only users that have the Administrator role can see the Job Queue since it will show reports and ETL runs across all users.
To access the Job Queue within an environment, log in to that environment and navigate to the Job Queue section on the left. To toggle between report runs and ETL runs you can click the dropdown at the top and select the type that you want to view:
Below is an example of an ETL run that is currently running:
This will show the following information:
- Kind: This shows whether it is a report or an ETL run that is running
- Report: If the kind is a report, this will show the name of the report
- Scheduled: This shows whether or not this was a scheduled run (which will have a value of True) or a manual run (which will have a value of False)
- User: This shows the user that ran the report or ETL run
- Status: This shows the current status of the report or ETL run
- Created: This shows when the user clicked the Run button for the report or ETL run to put it into the queue
- Started: This shows when the report or ETL run started
- Completed: This shows when the report or ETL run completed
To see the Job Queue for all environments you will navigate to the Administration section and view the Job Queue there:
By default, the Job Queue will show anything that is currently in the queue or is currently running, but you can click this section at the top and alternatively choose to see anything that is also Completed, Failed, or Canceled.
