Overview
In Business Central, closing entries are posted at the end of the year to zero out income statement accounts. By default, when a report is created, it will sum up all the GL transactions that match the filters that you've selected. This article covers how to exclude closing entries in your report.
Details
To exclude closing entries, you will want to add a filter in the sum functions that you have pulling from your GL Transactions table on the "Closing Entry" field. This is a True/False field.
To do this, edit the sum function that you want to exclude closing entries for and add a filter on the "Closing Entry" field. You will then want to set the Closing Entry to "False", which will exclude closing entries from being included.
